Guitar Instruction * Blues & Jazz Music Presentations Private Parties & Celebrations * House Concerts
GUITAR INSTRUCTION: Fred has been teaching guitar to all ages and all levels of dedicated students in the Rochester area for years, and finds it gratifying. If you would like to further your musical pursuit with guitar, Fred is happy to discuss mutual availability with prospective students. He especially welcomes inquiries from intermediate level students with an interest in Blues and Jazz music or in Fingerstyle guitar.
BLUES & JAZZ MUSIC PRESENTATIONS: Fred gives lectures with accompanying demonstrations, as he explains Ragtime, Traditional Jazz (New Orleans style), Early Blues music, the Swing Era, and Be-Bop influenced contemporary Jazz. Many believe that Jazz was America's greatest cultural contribution to the world. Fred can hold them in one or several sessions. This is a chance to learn fascinating new things about music as it relates to our American history. Call to discuss how this can be tailored to your organization or group's needs.
PRIVATE PARTIES & CELEBRATIONS: Fred enjoys entertaining groups gathered for special occasions, and playing music for them that includes their favorites songs. He will make it a memory-making event for everyone. His performance experiences over the years have been expansive. He can add another musician (or two), if needed, as he has arranged for some past stage peformances. He looks forward to hearing about your future event.
HOUSE CONCERTS: Fred has hosted House Concerts and shared his own "home stage" with traveling professional full-time musicians. With that experience as his basis, Fred is interested in the chance to travel regionally himself, and use his long-time musicianship entertaining in the homes of those who would enjoy hosting a House Concert.
